High Quality Canvas prints

What makes our Canvas Prints stand out.

Many companies say that they print & dispatch the same day for delivery the next.

We can do that, but we wont.

Several reasons why not. Firstly all of our canvas prints are hung up to dry for at least 24 hours before mounting on the wooden frame.

On roughly 80% of the images we receive to be printed we feel it necessary to contact the customer because the photo supplied does not fit the size they require without loosing some of the image. If necessary we will email a proof showing how much of the image will be lost & we would suggest a size that would better suit the photo so that none or very little would be lost.

We offer a very personal service & our goal is to provide you the customer with a very high quality product & for you to be entirely happy with it.

We are not the cheapest out there.

If you want a canvas print to hang in your digs for a few years then this is not the site for you & there are plenty of others out there that are cheaper, but for a reason.

printing colour bar

Our printer is made by Epson & uses only genuine Epson UltraChrome K3 ink with Vivid Magenta. We do not use, have never used, & have no intention of using cheaper third party inks that do not give the vibrant colours or longevity of Epson inks. We only print in high resolution at 1440dpi unlike a lot of others which only print at 720dpi. We can print at 2880dpi & if you request it we will print at the higher resolution but to be honest we can’t tell the difference between 1440dpi & 2880dpi.

When it comes to the canvas, we tested many different types from many different manufacturers ranging from very expensive to very cheap. Our decision on which one to use was based purely on image quality. The one we settled on is a poly/cotton blend which has the benefit of being water resistant when used with pigment inks. It’s a mid range priced canvas which gives superb image vibrancy, quality, longevity & looks great when mounted on a frame. We continually test other canvases when they become available but keep on coming back to the original because in our opinion it’s the best.

canvas bar quality
Just as important as the canvas is the frame onto which it’s mounted. Again we tested many different types of frame most of which where originally mass produced in China. They ranged from firewood to ok but they all felt wrong. We eventually stumbled across bars which are produced from high quality Pine in Europe using renewable sources. As soon as we got them out of the box the look, the feel & the fit where all right. The very nature of the canvas means that over time it will stretch slightly, so fitted into the corners of the frame are wooden wedges that can be tapped in, pushing the corners of the frame apart, re-tensioning the canvas back to it’s original look.
